I've Always Been Fascinated By The Human Mind, And Obsessed With How People Think

Not in a clinical way. In a practical one.

Why do capable, intelligent people freeze under pressure?

Why does confidence disappear the moment it matters most?

Why do people with more experience lose out to people who are simply better positioned?

Those questions led me to a degree in Psychology. Then a Master's in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, the study of human behavior in the workplace.

From there, I worked in career centres in universities, helping students navigate some of the most uncertain decisions of their lives. It was the first time I saw how much the right framework, offered at the right moment, could change someone's trajectory entirely.

THE CORPORATE CHAPTER

I worked inside the organizations most people are trying to break into.

As an Organizational Psychologist and Certified Change Management Consultant, I spent years embedded in some of the most complex, high-performing environments in the US and Canada.

Deloitte. Walmart. Accenture. RBC. The University of Toronto.

I saw how hiring decisions actually get made. How people who were objectively more qualified routinely lost to candidates who were better positioned. How performance and promotion don't always reward the hardest workers.

That inside view is something no course or online career advice can replicate. It is the foundation of how I coach.

THE PIVOT

Then 2020 arrived.

As the world shut down, my inbox opened up. Professionals navigating mass layoffs, abrupt role eliminations, and a market that had changed overnight were reaching out in waves. They weren't beginners. They were experienced, capable people who had done everything right and still found themselves stuck.

I had the framework. I had the insider knowledge. And I had lived through enough uncertainty in my own career to understand that the gap between where they were and where they wanted to be was not a competence problem. It was a positioning one.

That influx of inquiries became my calling. Career coaching stopped being something I did on the side. It became the work I was always meant to do.
